1700-1830
The Georgian jewellery era covers the reign of four English Kings named George from the 1700s to the 1830s. The jewellery featured themes depicting flowers, animals, neoclassical women and artifacts. We also see a lot of memorial jewellery from the Georgian period. The diamonds used in Georgian design are old mine cut or rose cut gems. Stones were often foiled and set in silver enclosed settings on gold mounts.
