Carved Puau Shell Brooch Circa 1970s

This lovely oval brooch from the mid-20th century features a bezel set puau shell, hand-carved in a sunray pattern to enhance the play of colour from the abalone shell. Fitted with a pin and hook catch. Stamped with the 925 hallmark and a makers mark.
