Mid-Victorian Ruby & Pearl Tassel Brooch Circa 1870s

A beautiful statement brooch from Mid-Victorian era crafted in yellow gold. This shield shaped brooch features a raised oval centre-piece set with natural pearls and red rubies surrounded by a hand-crafted garland of florals and leaves. Articulated links of graduated tassels fall from the base to complete this brooch. The rear of the brooch hold a glass locket for a special keepsake. Secured with a pin and hook catch.
