Victorian Sapphire & Diamond Brooch Hallmarked Birmingham 1883

A beautiful Victorian Etruscan revival styled tiered elliptical bar brooch. Featuring a central star set old mine cut diamond with a blue sapphires on each side on a raised tier upon a base of fine wire-work and granulation. Secured with a pin and hook catch and fitted with a gold-plated safety chain with pin. Hallmarked and stamped 15k, Birmingham 1883 with makers mark CE&FE for Constantine & Floyd, Caroline street, Birmingham, UK

Diamond: One natural old mine cut, 3.73mm x 3.1mm, I-J colour, I1 material, estimated weight 0.18ct

Gemstones: Two natural cushion cut sapphires, fine mid-blue, estimated total weight 0.24ct
