Victorian “Telle Est la Vie” Citrine Seal Circa 1890s

This antique French made seal is crafted in yellow gold. Suspended by a large detailed split ring the seal features hand-engraved and scrolled gold-work encasing a hand-carved citrine. The seal depicts a three-masted sailing ship on rough seas with the words “Telle Est la Vie”, translating to “Such is Life”.
