Victorian Sapphire & Diamond Half Hoop Ring Hallmarked 1893

This beautiful half hoop ring from the Victorian era is crafted in 18k yellow gold and features hand-carved scroll work set with royal blue sapphires, early European and rose cut diamonds. Stamped Birmingham 1893 with 18k hallmark.

Two natural oval cut sapphires, 5.5mm x 4.4mm, deep royal blue colour, eye clean, good material, estimated total weight 1.10ct

Diamonds: 

One natural heavy mine cut,  N-O colour, I1 material, estimated total weight 0.60ct

Two natural old mine cut, H-I colour, SI material, estimated total weight 0.90ct

Ten natural rose cut, colour, material, estimated total weight 0.04ct

Total estimated diamond weight 1.54ct

The half hoop is a lovely style, sitting across the top of the finger, making the most of this space by filling it with diamonds. These gems are set in a carved mount, decorative both at the sides of the setting and with texture carved into the shoulders of the ring.
